I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario and I am a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I hold a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Carleton University.
Psychotherapy is a way to help people who are dealing with a variety of life challenges, mental illnesses and emotional difficulties. Mental health professionals help individuals reach their goals, increase their well-being and overall health. Problems can include difficulties in coping with daily life; the impact of trauma, medical illness or loss as well as specific mental illnesses (i.e. anxiety or depression).
The first session helps us establish if I am a right fit for you. This is the opportunity for you to give me an overview of your story, your goals and really what brings you to therapy. I will also go over some documents with you and some of our policies.
The sessions are 50 minutes in length for individual therapy, 80 minutes in length for couples and family sessions, and the initial phone consultation is 20 minutes long.
This will be discussed during our first meeting as it would depend on each client.
Yes, services are confidential. Your privacy and confidentiality is important to me. Note that psychotherapists are bound by a code of ethics therefore I must keep the information you share strictly confidential, sharing only with your consent or if required to do so by law. More information about your rights to confidentiality will be shared in your first session and in our informed consent forms
- Initial phone consultation (20 minutes): Free
- Individual Therapy: $160 tax incl.
- Couples Therapy: $180 tax incl.
- Additional fees may apply for documentation requests (e.g., letters for employers, school, court, etc.)
**Please check with your insurance provider if they cover “Psychotherapy” as I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
Yes, this will be based on need, some sliding scale sessions are offered. Please discuss this with me in your initial consultation.
In the event you need to reschedule or cancel a scheduled appointment, please do so within 24 hours. You will be charged the full session fee if prior notice is not given.
I offer psychotherapy for adults (minimum 18 years old) and couples.
This is currently an online practice.
